He Was Born In Belleville, On., In February 187, Then Moved To Winnipeg In 1880. His First Victories Were In Roller Skates, Winning The 3 Mile Manitoba Title. At 17 He Was Winnipeg'S Champion Gymnast. During 1894 To 1896, He Was 1 Mile Bicycle Champion. In 1903 Captured The Dominion Trap Shooting Title In Toronto. He Started Playing Serious Hockey In 1895 As Centre With The Winnipeg Victorias. In 1901 They Defeated The Montreal Vics For The Stanley Cup.Over The Next Seven Years, With Bain As Captain For Three Of Them, The Winnipeg Vics Played In 4 Challenge Rounds, Lost In Montreal And Winnipeg, But In 1901 Defeated The Montreal Shamrocks For The Cup. He Died August 15,1962. Winner Canadian Trapshooting Championship |

Note: 3 Horse Hitch Was Unusual Except For Heavy Steam Engines, And Tillerman Who Steered The Rear Wheels. Position Was Below The Main Ladder Which Gave Poor Visibility. No Other Aerials Used This Arrangement All Others Had The Tillerman On Top Of The Ladder For Better Forward Visibility |

Head Shot Of Duncan W. Mcdermid Was Born In Martintown, Canada West. In 1882 He Married Mary E. Lorenzen And They Had 2 Children. The Education Of The Deaf Mute Was His Life W Work And He Became An Authority In North America. He Began As A Clerk In The Institute For The Deaf And Dumb At Belleville, On. He Joined The Teaching Staff Later. Five Years Later He Was A Teacher In Iowa State Institute For The Deaf And Dumb. In 1890 He Was Appointed Principal Of The Deaf And Dumb Institute In Manitoba. He Served As Superintendent Of The Western Chatauqua Assemble Which Met Annually At Council Bluffs, Iowa. He Did Research In The Field Of Hypnotism As A Possible Aid In Surgery And For The Cure Of Nervous Troubles Such As Stammering. He Was President Of Manitoba Club 1904 -1909; President Of The Winnipeg Golf Club. He Died In Winnipeg September 12, 1909 |
